Kodomo Inc. was founded by Hisako Nakamura who began working in the Japanese toy industry in the early 1970's. By l983 she founded her own gift company. This was the beginning of selling rubber stamps. The style of the products of Kodomo Inc. is inspired by the art of Yoko Ganaha. Her style combines American country as well as traditional Japanese influences. Yoko finds the simplicity and fresh tenderness in stamping fascinating. She is interested in bringing the feeling of gentle movement into her drawings through color and illustration.
